Arestin for Gum Disease

Arestin is a localized antibiotic treatment designed to target the bacteria that cause periodontal disease. When used alongside scaling and root planing, Arestin helps prevent gum disease from progressing, supporting long-term oral health.

Arestin consists of tiny microspheres that gradually release antibiotics over time. After a deep cleaning, your periodontist will apply Arestin directly into the pocket between your tooth and gum. The application is completely painless, and while the microspheres dissolve on their own, the antibiotic continues working to fight bacteria well after your visit.
